Our Story
Seattle isn’t just where we work — it’s home.
My grandfather came here in 1920, settling in a young port city surrounded by mountains, water, and opportunity. A century later, our family is still here — exploring the same neighborhoods, shorelines, and forest trails we now guide guests through every day.
Storytelling has always shaped how we see the world.
I come from a background in documentary filmmaking and tourism, focused on capturing real people and real places with honesty and depth. My mom worked as a Pulitzer-nominated journalist before moving into communications and public relations. Between us, we’ve spent our lives asking questions, listening closely, and helping others understand the places they’re in.
That mindset is what inspired Cascade Excursions.
We design small, private experiences that feel personal and local — blending history, culture, infrastructure, and the landscapes that define the Pacific Northwest. Less scripted speeches, more real conversations. Less tourist traps, more hidden gems. The kind of day you’d plan for a friend visiting town.
Experience Seattle like a local.
