Seattle Port Valet: Explore After Your Cruise Without Your Suitcase

We recommend Port Valet to every eligible cruise guest, whether you’re traveling solo, as a couple, with family, or in a larger group. If you’re flying home after your cruise, it’s one of the easiest ways to enjoy Seattle with less to carry.

Watch my short video below, then check that your sailing and flight qualify. Your bags can head from ship to airline while we help you make the most of the time before your flight.

What is Port Valet?

Port Valet is a complimentary service sponsored by the Port of Seattle and its partners that transfers eligible cruise passengers’ checked luggage from the ship to their airline. Applicable airline baggage fees still apply.

Your departure flight must be on the day you disembark. Participating airlines, cruise lines, flight requirements, and enrollment deadlines matter, so confirm your eligibility through the official Port Valet page and your ship’s guest services team.

Arrange it before disembarkation morning

You can enroll online before the cruise or through the ship. The Port recommends enrolling early. Follow the crew’s instructions for your boarding passes, luggage tags, and where to leave your bags the night before departure.

Keep the things you need during the day with you. Port Valet handles checked bags; it doesn’t transport passengers to the airport. You still need a plan for getting yourself to SEA.

Build your day backward from your flight

When you ask us about a post-cruise tour, send your ship, terminal, flight details, group size, and any stops you really want to make. If your group is taking different flights, include each one.

We’ll use the agreed airport arrival time to work out what fits. A viewpoint and a few neighborhoods might make more sense than trying to squeeze in a long attraction visit. If Pike Place is a priority, tell us whether you want time to browse, eat, or simply get a quick look.

Don’t build the whole day around the earliest time you might leave the ship. Disembarkation, road conditions, and your group’s pace all affect the plan.

Pair it with a private Seattle tour

Our Seattle shore excursions can begin at your cruise terminal and finish at Sea-Tac Airport, with airport drop-off included in the City Tour price. The tour is private, so we can plan the stops around your group.

We recommend Port Valet to every eligible cruise guest, whatever your group size. For groups of eight or more traveling with luggage, it is required on all our tours. If it is unavailable for your sailing or flight, contact us before booking so we can confirm luggage arrangements. Send us your travel details, and we’ll help work out a Seattle day that fits.

Choose your Seattle day

Our three-hour City Tour is a flexible introduction to Seattle’s neighborhoods and viewpoints. The four-hour City & Pike Place Market Tour adds one full hour to explore the Market independently. Both tour lengths include pickup, all driving and drop-off. Airport travel may shorten or replace other sightseeing stops.
