Space Needle Tickets: Buy, Bundle or Just Enjoy the View?
One of the questions I get the most: should we actually go up the Space Needle? It's the landmark everyone knows, but tickets add up. My answer depends on how much time you have and what kind of view you're after.

Option 1: Just buy a Space Needle ticket
If the Needle is the main thing you want to do, a regular timed ticket is the simplest move. Pick a time that works with the rest of your day and check the forecast. A clear day shows off the mountains and the water, but even on a gray day you get a good sense of how the city fits together.
Don't build a super tight schedule around it. Give yourself time to get in, see both levels and take photos without rushing.
Option 2: Bundle it with Chihuly Garden and Glass
Chihuly is right next door at Seattle Center, and they sell an official combo ticket. If you're into the glass art too, the combo usually makes more sense than buying both separately. Packages change, so check the current options before you buy.
Option 3: Look at CityPASS or C3
If the Needle is just one of a few paid attractions on your list, look at Seattle CityPASS before buying tickets one by one. The full CityPASS includes the Space Needle (a day visit and a night visit within 24 hours) and the Aquarium, plus three more you pick. The smaller C3 lets you pick any three from its list. Neither one is automatically a deal. You have to actually want to visit enough of the places on it. I broke it all down here: Is Seattle CityPASS worth it?
Or get the skyline shot from Kerry Park
If what you really want is that classic Seattle photo, go to Kerry Park. From Queen Anne Hill you get the Space Needle in front of downtown, and on a clear day Mount Rainier in the back. Honestly, I like this angle better for seeing the whole skyline.
Kerry Park is free. It's not the same as going up the Needle, but it's a totally different kind of photo, and it's a regular stop on my private tours. Here's my Kerry Park guide.
What's included on a Cascade tour?
Our standard three-hour tour includes an exterior photo stop at Seattle Center and the Space Needle when the route allows. It doesn't include an observation deck ticket. If you want ticketed attractions, ask about a longer custom tour so the timing actually works.
Current tickets and combos are on the Space Needle website.
